  • Head of a 5 person weather staff, leading the team during all severe weather events, scheduling, graphic/content creation, and story enterprising for severe weather specials.
  • Station representative of the “First Warning Weather Team” for public events such as emcee work, community appearances, and school visits.
  • Assistant to Sinclair Broadcast Company corporate staff in overall company wide revamp of weather system/graphics
  • Primary meteorologist fill-in on ABC’s Good Morning America.

Chief Meteorologist/Main Anchor

  • Personally responsible for revamping the entire weather department, including graphics, content, and talent coaching.
  • In charge of the Weather Department in the station group. Often traveled and met with other company meteorologists, training them on leadership, graphical content and powerful story telling.
  • Lead Anchor for Fox First at Ten, successfully communicating the nightly news to Tens of Thousands of viewers.  Helped to make it the #1 prime-time newscast in the Inland Northwest

  • Personally responsible for the overall news operation, including content, writing, scheduling, and budgetary issues
  • Implemented a station wide change in culture with a lead by example and strong communication model.
  • Headed up many projects which helped the station climb the ratings ladder, including a very successful statewide telecast of the 2008 Senatorial debate between Gordon Smith and Jeff Merkley

  • M-F, 4:30, 5:00, 6:00, 10pm broadcasts, on-air Meteorologist for our 24 hour WeatherPlus Channel, on-line at 12news.com, and in print with the Arizona Republic weather section.
  • Responsible for the weather department, including graphical look, presentation style, special weather programs, and coordination of schedules.
  • Regularly made public appearances, further enhancing the brand of 12News, including school visits, charity fundraisers, personal appearances, and station sponsored events

Morning Show Meteorologist

  • M-F, 5am-9am local morning show. Nearly 40 live weather hits every morning.
  • Helped take the show from a #4 position to #1 in just 2 years!
  • In addition to covering weather, also interviewed celebrities, delivered live feature reports, and visited many schools, talking to kids about weather.

Weekend Weather Anchor/Reporter

  • Forecast & delivered the weather during the 6pm & 11pm broadcasts.
  • Filled-in for the Daybreak Show, as well as the 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00 P.M. news shows.
  • Worked on and updated weather web site (www.kovr13.com).

Morning Weathercaster

  • Weathercaster for "Live this Morning" on KDRV.  An hour-long morning show, including 6 hits of weather, live shots, pet corner and various types of personality driven TV.
  • Worked with the WSI Weather producer and Show FX on a daily basis.

 

KIEM-TV                    Eureka, CA                                                                                                          1998

Weekend Weathercaster

  • Produced and forecasted the weather including marine forecasts, weather trivia questions, and extended outlooks.
  • Excelled with the WSI 9000 system and built own maps.
  • Also, live shots on location, photography, reporting, and updated web site (www.kiem-tv.com).
